Sorry, Not This Week

I don't know if you've heard, but there's been a massive earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The magnitude has been reported as 8.9 (check here to see just how huge that is) and it has devastated the community it struck. It's especially heartwrenching for me because my brother lives in Tokyo, and while the quake struck 250 miles north east of the city...well, it was huge. He's okay--he's still updating his facebook page, so I can assume he's not dead--but even in Tokyo things are messed up.

If you would like to help, you can go to the Red Cross and donate funds. You can also donate to the International Medical Corps, Global Giving's Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief fund, AmeriCare's fund, and Save the Children's fund for the quake.

Please keep them in your prayers.

  5. So glad to hear your brother is OK. Every time they show pictures of the devastation my heart goes out to the people of Japan. Thanks for the links to donate.

  6. I'm glad your brother is okay! The pictures on the news are heart-wrenching. Japan is good at bouncing back from things, but that was way too much to cope with in one day. :(
