Five Seconds Later

Why does summer have to be so hot? And also buggy, but primarily hot?

I’ll wake up in the morning and be like, “Oh, it’s not so bad out!”

It never lasts long.

  1. I grew up in Louisiana. I empathize, but I have no sympathy for you.

  3. I just went out to water my garden and you're right. I melted.

  4. It doesn't last long at all. It was okay first thing, but within an hour of departure this morning, the humidity was making itself quite clearly known.

  5. Yeah, I don't do too well with heat, either. I don't know how you deal with humidity. We get downright hostile around here when it gets humid.

  7. I do like the hot days of July and August. I don't know why but I thrive in the heat. Don't give me those frigid 60s and 70s. I need 80s and 90s.

  8. It really doesn't last long. If I go out midday, it's only to be inside my cool car.
