Expired

Has anyone ever used a warranty ever?
Seriously, the notifications keep popping up. I don’t know how to get them to stop.

  1. Must only be on laptops as I've never seen that on my desktop.

  2. I would use some colourful language in a reply email telling them to go do something anatomically impossible.

  3. They'll stop not long after the warranty actually expires.
And, yes, I have several times taken advantage of warranties, once even having my computer entirely replaced (which was pretty great), BUT I have never paid to renew a warranty. I've only ever used the warranty that came with the item when it was purchased.

  4. I ended up using a warranty on a fridge once. It was awesome because the fridge was about 3 days away from being out of warranty and they gave me a brand new one with another 3 year warranty! But never used it for a computer. And never had a reminder either.

  5. It seems like things break after the warranty expires. I won't renew a warranty, though. And I won't purchase an extended warranty. At the moment, anyway.

  6. We usually don't get the extended warranties on items. Whatever warranty came with my car actually came in handy, as it needed a repair that turned out to be completely covered by the warranty that I honestly didn't even know I had. Props to the mechanic who pointed that out to me.

  7. There's one computer at work that pops up all.the.time. It makes me crazy. I'm not even empowered to make it stop and I have to see it.
