From The Spamfiles

I just…really don’t feel like coming up with a post idea.

They give me the angry emoji in the subject line, but then a smiley emoticon in the message (which is in quotes for some reason BTW). Very inconsistent tone.

Sure, this makes sense. Presidents contact me all the time.

It’s from the Olivia Cake Designs branch of Bank of America.

This is…I don’t know what this is. They’re threatening me with photos. Are they, like, cursed or something?

What they do is within ambient of the law. I have to admit, I’ve never heard ambient used that way and have no idea what it’s supposed to mean. I even looked it up in the dictionary to see if there was some obscure definition I was unaware of, but nope. Not a clue what the hell that’s supposed to mean. Yet the rest of the spam is surprisingly well written.

Amazon wants me to see their pic. How naughty.

Honestly I’m a little disappointed in the quantity of spam I’ve been receiving lately. Some days I don’t get any at all, let alone one worthy of being posted. So if you get anything funny be sure to send it my way.

  1. I hardly get any spam. I feel so unloved.

  2. I don't look at it, so I don't know.
Other than the vampire stuff from my blog, that is.

  3. Recently I've been getting a lot of spam from people using my surname telling me a lottery ticket we purchased together won. Since there are only 5 people with my surname in the world and I don't usually buy lottery tickets, I don't buy it.

  4. Unusual account activity - and if you were to respond, they would become that activity.

I need to read more of mine. They are usually just retailers spamming me.

  5. I get a lot of the usual spam, and every once in awhile one of those Third World scammer things, including one the other day that I'll have to use soon for a post.

What is ununusual account activity? Does the second un cancel it out?

  6. Really? You want to see my spam? I think the most interesting ones I get are the "stop sending me your photos" and threatening to delete my account ones. I think the delete my account ones are especially funny as the account I have is not connected to that particular email.

  7. Wait...you mean there isn't a cake design branch of Bank of America? I'll be right back...
