Shopping

More tales of me making the mistake to go shopping in a store instead of online.

Ninety percent of the time, I’m completely ignored. The other ten percent…

Seriously, I said I didn’t need help three times and he still wouldn’t go away. He was hovering over me like I was trying to steal something. You know what, annoying salespeople? Sometimes people are just oddly proportioned and don’t need to be stared at while they find something that fits!

  1. When I need help, no one's there. When I don't need any, they pester me.

  2. I would much rather be ignored than hovered over by clerks!

  3. All you have to do is act like you're looking for someone to help you. They'll scatter if you do that.

  4. omg what about the times where I say I don't need help several times, they leave, and then I need help but it's too late because I told them to go away THREE times and everyone knows after that you are destined to be ignored like the tumbleweed that passes you in this shopping mall disaster...

  5. It's easier to do online shopping when you don't wait until the very last minute to do the shopping.

  6. Love it! When you don't want help they won't leave you alone, but when you need someone you can't find them for love nor money :) x

  7. I have to say from the other side of the thing, sorry he pestered you. I work retail and we're supposed to ask everything if they need help or our bosses get snippy. Not linger though. That gets awkward.

  8. Yeah, I duck and hide to avoid salesclerks most of the time, but I know they are under orders, too. A friend of my daughter's recently quit his job at Walgreens because he couldn't stand saying "Be well!" to another single person!

  9. So true! I was looking at shoes yesterday and when i was just looking, three separate sales clerks came over to see if I needed anything. When I finally found something I liked, I couldn't find anyone anywhere to get me the left shoe to try on. When I finally did, she took so long getting the left shoe, I gave up and left the store.
