Humidity Levels

There’s a reason I pretty much always have my hair up.
It’s a surprisingly accurate way to measure the humidity, though. Scientists are hoping to create a new measuring tool by analyzing my hair.

  1. I used to have that in my knee in Louisiana.

  2. Since I shave my head, humidity's never been a factor that way since, but I walk out into a humid day feeling like I'm in an oven.

  3. It's really humid here. Not hot, just drowning in sweat humid.

  4. Maybe I should learn how to put my hair in a fashionable bun. But I doubt I can. I'm the kind of mom who couldn't get her kids' hair to stay in ponytails or barrettes, and doing my own hair is usually a disaster.

As for the humidity, I gave up doing anything with my hair two months ago. I just try to avoid looking in mirrors.

  5. I had to cut my hair again. I couldn't stand how puffy it became, even with the products and heat styling.

  6. Apparently it hasn't been that humid here, because my hair hasn't been all that curly. But it sure feels humid.

  7. This happens to my wife, who has naturally curly hair. I always think of Monica in that episode of Friends - was it in Hawaii?

  8. My daughter has hair like that. It's long and usually pretty wavy but when humidity strikes, she gets all these adorable tight little curls around her face. She has a different word to describe them.

  9. Down here in sweltering, soggy Houston, I know exactly what you mean.
