I can’t put up pictures and not have one of Peaches.

She loves resting under the chair in my bedroom, where I toss my winter coat when it’s not winter. She particularly loves sleeping with her neck on the bar, because that’s somehow comfortable for her.

Saw this pretty bird on my mom’s bird bath. I have no idea what kind of bird it is, I just know it’s not one I’ve seen before.

Startled this guy when I went out front. Also pictured: spray paint from the DOT from when they were marking the gas line during the dreadful water pipe replacement.

I’ve never actually seen a snail before, so I thought this was really neat. Also, I’d like to point out that this little guy was smaller than the nail on my little finger. So quite tiny.

Well, they’re obviously not going to share.

Not actually sure this is poison ivy, just noticed the “leaves of three”. I’m definitely not touching it, though.

It’s brown, so obviously a female, but it was definitely a cardinal.

The Orangus Pestifloofus likes to make her home in soft, warm places, especially brand new quilts people got for their birthday.

And now we see the spore of the Orangus Pestifloofus, which reproduces by shooting clumps of fur off of her body and onto furniture and rugs.

And now we see the rare Orangus Pestifloofus in her natural habitat: sitting on or in something you want to use.

WHOOO! I’ll be taking a blogging break next week! Like, a complete break instead of putting up filler, because I just want to relax and do nothing. Go celebrate my birthday by sending me cake!

One More Day Of Laziness

Meh, wasn’t quite ready to do my goals for this week yet. At the time I’m writing this, it’s almost two weeks ago (hi, future me!) so I’m not quite ready to think about September yet.

So this is really just filler until I can get my brain back into work mode. But at least there will be a post for Thursday. Etymology! Aren’t you excited?

This actually happened while I was making my bed. She climbed in as I’m trying to pull up the sheets and she wouldn’t move. So I just pulled them up over her and she stayed like that for several hours.
