March Goals

Okay, somehow it’s March? Already? How did this happen??? That’s just wrong…

February Goals
1. Finish my notes for the latest WIP. Most of them so far are “word it better” and “actually describe this”.
Hey, I finished. Twelve hundred notes. I need a drink.

2. Start working on my editing notes. We’re at twelve hundred. Hence why I said start.
I was able to start, though my progress was hindered by getting rather sick earlier in the month. Babies are cute, but such germ-spreaders.

3. Keep editing my web serial. Only about nine chapters left in part two…
At least this was easy enough. Five chapters before the end!

And that was last month. Now for this month…

March Goals
1. Finish my editing for the new book. I think I’m down to eight hundred notes left. Eep.

2. Get the last chapters of the web serial ready to post.

3. Work on something fun that isn’t editing. I definitely need it.

It’s March, and spring will be here in a few weeks. What do you want to accomplish?

March Goals

Well, February was somehow worse than I expected. I don’t know how it always manages to do that.

February Goals
1. Edit the web serial, as it could use a more comprehensive looking at.
Did not get to this, unfortunately. Did not have a lot of free time and had even less energy.

2. Work on some other projects to recharge my creativity. Not sure what, though.
HA HA HA HA HA HA no. I’m so tired.

3. Finish my other WIP.
So close. So very close. A couple of hundred words, I think.

As I said, it was a tough month. March probably isn’t going to be any better. Ugh…

March Goals
1. Actually edit the web serial this time.

2. Hopefully find some way to recharge. And maybe sleep!

3. Keep searching for a way to get rid of those m*****f*****g rounded window corners in everything I try to use on my computer. Don’t get Windows 11. Stick with 10.

Yes, that’s a goal. An important one for my own mental health and sanity.

What do you want to do this month?

March Goals

Yeah don’t have high expectations for this month. Or any month really.

February Goals
1. Actually do the editing notes for my new WIP. I really want to do this so I can start sharing it, because I honestly have no idea what to do with it and need some advice.
Well, I did this. I’m really pleased with how it came out, though I still have no idea what to do with it. It’s so different from anything else I’ve ever written.

2. Actually do the beta reading notes. If it’s not too much trouble.
Look! Over there! A distraction!!!

3. Work on something fun, maybe a new WIP. Because that will solve all my problems.
I’ve been kind of fooling around with a few things. No idea what I’ll ever do with it, but it’s something.

Ugh, winter. UGH, FEBRUARY. I’m ready for spring now.

March Goals
1. Get some feedback on my new WIP. It’s a contemporary mystery about the murder of a girl. It’s character driven and very different from what I usually write, so if anyone anywhere would like to look at it and give me some guidance, I’d really appreciate it.

2. Try to edit the WIP I keep avoiding. I might ignore it, but I can’t let myself forget it.

3. Keep working on my latest new project. This one should be easy, I hope.

Just a few more weeks until the equinox and the change of seasons, and I can’t wait. What do you want to do this month? Do you like mystery novels?

March Goals

Well, March is here already, and I for one am glad to see February gone. It’s always the worst month, for some reason. I’m certainly glad it’s the shortest. Anyway, what goals did I totally not do?

February Goals
1. Do my first pass of notes on the new WIP, and start working on them.
I did make all the notes (almost 1000!!!), but I couldn’t bring myself to start working at them. It was quite an emotionally exhausting month.

2. Do all the adult stuff I need to that’s giving me a constant panic attack.
Yes, I did this. Now if only the constant panic attack would go away.

3. Actually get to work on my old WIP notes.
Did not do this. I could barely bring myself to look at anything involving writing. Ugh, February is the worst.

And that was February. Which, to reiterate, is the worst. I’m really hoping March won’t be such a frigging ordeal.

March Goals
1. Actually work on those damn notes!

2. Work on some non-writing projects to try and recharge my creativity.

3. Work on some new ideas I have floating around.

That is what I want to do. Will I make it? Knowing me, probably not, but maybe! What do you want to do this month?

March Goals

Well, it’s March. I suppose that’s something. What was I supposed to be doing this past month?

February Goals
1. Do all the adult stuff I have to that gives me panic attacks.
Yes, I did all this, and I hope I never have to do it again ever.

2. Work on edits to my other WIP.
Hey, I actually did this. I did pretty okay, although I still think I could’ve done more.

3. Keep working on the query, and hopefully get around to finishing that story.
I did work on the query a bit, but I never did get around to the story. I feel no inspiration for first draft writing, so I’ve been sticking to editing.

So I guess it wasn’t a total failure. I’m really hoping March is easier to deal with. Maybe I’d find more time to write.

March Goals
1. Get the query to 100% shape. No idea how I’ll do this, though.

2. Work on substantial edits for my other WIP.

3. If I have time, get back to edits on the sequel to first WIP.

Fingers crossed that there aren’t any catastrophes this month. What are you hoping to do? Are you as happy about the change in seasons as I am?

March Goals

It’s March, which means spring is almost here and hopefully we can say goodbye to the snow forever. Also I have goals to get to or something.

February Goals
1. Finish the first draft of my WIP! Yes, that is worthy of an exclamation point.
WOO! Draft one is done. I have no idea when I’ll ever have a chance to edit it, but one thing at a time.

2. Actually do something about a new spam blog.
I mean, kind of. I’m posting it here now. Only the finest spam for you guys.

3. Start planning the rewrites I want to do based on the beta reads I got.
I did plan out the rewrites! I even got started on them.

Not bad, right? A successful month in spite of how short it is. Now what should I do this month?

March Goals
1. Finish the rewrites.

2. Start working on all the other notes I was given by my beta readers. Hopefully I won’t be panicking too much to do this.

3. Update etymology page. It’s that time again.

I should be able to do all that. Maybe. Possibly. If anxiety doesn’t strangle me to death first.

So what are you up to this month? Are you looking forward to the change in seasons?

March Goals

Well, it’s March. And the world is still an endless nightmare from which there is no waking. But maybe that’s implied by calling it an endless nightmare. Anyway, let’s look at last month’s goals.

February Goals
1. Keep up with my writing and make it to 40K on my new WIP. I actually might make it!
And I did! Plus some more! I really love this story!

2. Maybe do some editing on my old WIP that I swore I’d finish last year.
This I didn’t do as I was focused more on the above and I really had no other free time that wasn’t spent sleeping. Oh, sleep. I wish I was sleeping now.

3. Finish all the stuff I couldn’t get to last month. Double ugh.
Yes, thankfully. Hopefully it stays finished. I wouldn’t put it past the universe to rewind just to make me have to do February all over again.

Not bad, I guess. Yay for achievable goals. Now for this month…

March Goals
1. Get to 70K on my WIP, which should bring me to the end. This one I might not reach, but I’m going to try!

2. Update my etymology page. I think I have three months of -leg posts to put in there.

3. See if I can think up something fun to do for blog posts. I’ve been running low on ideas lately.

And finally, winter’s going to be gone. I hope. There was that surprise April snowstorm last year. So what are you up to this month? Any fun plans?

March Goals

Well, February managed to be surprisingly bad. I was so stressed through most of it that I couldn’t concentrate and didn’t do a very good job on my goals. Also I went to go give blood and they told me I’m anemic and now I have to take iron. That at least explains why I’m tired all the time.

Anyway, goals.

February Goals
1. Another 10K. I will write this or die trying.
Sadly, I failed on both counts. I got 5K done, which isn’t the worst, but I’m disappointed that I wasn’t able to die trying for the rest :P.

2. Read some new books.
Well, it wasn’t anything new, just some old favorites. This would probably be easier if I had tons of money to spend on books.

3. Organize all my stick figure comics. This is kind of hard to explain, but because it’s mostly copy and paste, I have tons of different images that I could reuse. If I was able to find them.
I actually managed to do this! It’s a miracle! And wasn’t terribly difficult. I’m hoping it being more organized will make creating those silly comics easier.

Kind of disappointing, but February was exhausting. It is truly the Monday of the months.

March Goals
1. Actually write 10K this time. Or, at the very least, finish last month’s 10K.

2. See if I can by that book I want to read for research. And, you know, read it.

3. Try to think up something fun to do. Because we could all use a little fun right now.

So hopefully, that’s what my March will be like. What do you want to do this month?

March Goals

It’s March already?! Man, for a month with an extra day in it, February went by awfully quickly. I’m beginning to think there was no bonus day at all.

Okay, what was I supposed to do last month?

February Goals
1. Either finish that stupid pattern or go insane trying.
Well, I haven’t finished, so you can pretty much guess where this one’s at.

2. Maybe write this time, dang it!
Ha ha ha, no, I’ve wasted my life

3. Do all the stupid miscellaneous stuff I have to do this month, like taxes and signing up for the Challenge reveal and finally learning how to spell miscellaneous. February seems to be a popular month for all the little extras.
I did this at least. It was a busy month. I think I need a few more extra days.

Okay, so that’s last month. What about March?

March Goals
1. Finish the pattern (again! Like I never work on it!). All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

2. Write! Please this time!

3. Get all my Challenge posts set up so they’re ready to post. Hey, I might actually be able to do this one!

So that’s the plan for March. What are you up to?

March Goals

Oh, man, February just…just sucked, for way too many people. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this relieved for a new month to dawn. I just wish February would take this m@&#$&%^#*@%g snow with it.

February Goals
1. Try to find enough time to do those frigging edits on REMEMBER.
Unfortunately, no, I was no able to. This month was just a mess and I really didn’t have that much free time because it was either work lots of hours at a low paying job or starve. I am so bummed about this that I’m going to have to use a sad face emoticon. : (

2. Get caught up on everything I fell behind on without a computer.
Well, I was at least able to do this. Small victories, I guess.

3. Don’t starve to death. Maybe.
I’m still here, so I guess this was a success. I just wish it felt like it. I’ve been so busy working that I don’t have enough time to write and that just sucks.

Sigh. I really hope March is better. I mean, it can’t be worse, right?

Right??

March Goals
1. Find enough time to do some writing/editing! Please, pretty please. Maybe I’ll win the lottery and then not have to worry about money anymore.

2. All the snow has caused some water damage, so I will be spending some time trying to mitigate that. Man, how I wish I didn’t have to make this a goal. Didn’t this blog used to be about writing?

3. Get all my A-to-Z Challenge posts ready for posting! They’re all written, so it’s just setting them up. I’m actually kind of excited for this one.

Okay, so that’s the plan. What are you up to this month? Need any snow? Because I have lots of extra.

March Goals

Ugh, February. It really is the Monday of the months. The newness of the year that comes with January is stale, plus the weather is, at best, frigidly cold, and at worst a slush-filled blanket that you have to get out of the driveway before the temperature drops and it freezes over until mid-March. So in summation, February, I hate you.

I already know I didn’t do a good job on my goals this month, because of that list I made staring me in the face every day. Ugh. Again.

February Goals
1. Finish outline, read aloud, and notes for REMEMBER. This is going to be a big one…
Nope, didn’t do this. I opened up REMEMBER and found out it was way more unfinished than I thought it was. The outline is done except for the places it’s STILL unfinished, and I obviously wasn’t able to get to the rest since there’s no point in starting if the rough draft isn’t complete.

2. Send out 10 queries for COLLAPSE (AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!) and revise query as needed.
This I did, netting me two rejections already. I’ve worked on my query a bit, gotten it to the point where I actually think it’s good. I just have to wait and see, which I totally hate.

3. Work on Apocalypse Blog.
Uh, kind of? I posted another apocalypse thing last Saturday, which means it was technically in March, although I wrote it in February. I didn’t start up the actual blog yet, because I’m still not sure it could stand alone as its own blog. I might keep this as a feature here.

Not a very good job. Querying was even more stressful than I anticipated (and I anticipated stress!), so I kept working on my shiny new project rather than REMEMBER like I was supposed to. Anyway, now for March.

March Goals
1. Send out 10 more queries for COLLAPSE (still AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!).

2. Write two more Apocalypse posts for (I hope) your entertainment.

3. Actually finish REMEMBER. And maybe, if I do, write the book that’s been rolling around in my head the past couple of weeks!

Okay. I think this is doable. What are you up to this March? Do you other A-to-Z-ers have your posts ready yet?
