I do that with my what if posts so much that I now write them down as soon as I have the thought. Or I try to. I plan to. And many times I will. Of course, sometimes I'm not in a spot where I can write them down...
This has happened to me for blog post ideas, so I jot things down in my agenda. What bugs me the most is losing story ideas, because that happens all the time if I'm too tired to write them down. While I'm thinking them, the stories seem so amazing. I can't believe I forget.
LOL - I know the feeling. I can get up and go into another room to get something, and by the time I get there, I've forgotten what it was.
ReplyDeleteGo back, physically, to where you had the idea and see if that makes you remember.
ReplyDeleteDammit is one we can all relate to!

ReplyDeleteI do that all the time. Or I get part way through writing it, decide it was a crap idea, and then delete it.
ReplyDeleteI like Andrew's idea for remembering. I've done that before. Doesn't always work, but it can.
Ha,ha! That happens to me all the time.
ReplyDeleteOr better yet, I remember what the idea was, but now I think it stinks.
