We have an enclosed box, and Jack will frequently, purposefully, fling the litter out the door, so don't believe your cat is being all innocent about that. Because cats.
My cat (granted, she's nearly 19 years old) doesn't even bother trying to bury anything anymore...and yet, there's still litter everywhere. I think it's just one of those things that comes along with a cat.
One of my cats used to drag the sand so forcefully it used to go over the poop on to the floor! Then I bought another box that had a more raised enclosure. And it helped, at least partially.
Just think of the mess she'd make if she was toilet trained.
ReplyDeleteOur cats will run to use the litter box the moment it's clean. Fortunately it's one with a hood, so the litter all stays inside.
ReplyDeleteShe's lucky she's so adorable.

Yeah, I had a cat like that. But it never fails, just as soon as you clean the litter box...
