Go Fourth

Yeah, these are my feelings about parades in a nutshell.

Don’t put me in crowds and not expect rampages to happen.

  1. I agree - watching it on television is better. Although I have marched in many parades, including several of the big ones, and that's fun although exhausting. Wouldn't do it in summer though.

  2. I live right in Ottawa, so biggest Canada Day of the year, right here, but I never go onto Parliament Hill for the festivities. I do a museum circuit through the day and fireworks at night. It's crowded, but I can manage it.

  3. Yeah, a parade in a nutshell does sound a bit crowded.

  4. New Year's Eve. Midnight. Fireworks on TV. We can hear the Disneyland fireworks going off in the distance. They're showing them on TV. But we could see them live from our front porch. What do we do? Watch the TV.

This was 20 years ago. I do not regret that decision.

  5. I don't like parades either, though when my children were little I sucked it up and took them. Little kids like fire trucks.
