Why I Hate Helping

I hate it when my mom asks me to help her with something. It’s not like I can say no. Or do anything right ever, apparently.
For some reason, the bottom screw just wouldn’t go in further after a certain point. But she accepted it because at least it wasn’t loose anymore.

  1. Next time hand her the screwdriver and just step back.

  2. The skulls and crossbones sum it up nicely.

  3. You know, you can actually say no.
    You should try it sometime.
You can even explain why you're saying no.

  4. We have a family curse. Anyone who tries to put things together can't do it without swearing up a storm, making several mistakes, and just generally being cranky about the whole thing. So, when I'm tasked with things and I do the above, I don't get crap for it. It's lovely.

  6. I'm with Alex, next time give her the screwdriver and walk away. See if she stops micromanaging then.
