Well, it’s
started. I’m only surprised it took this long. Tumblr has flagged one of my old
posts. In particular, this one:
Yeah. A baby. It
must be a girl with female presenting nipples that are simply TOO SCANDALOUS
for people to handle.
Yes, there is
that “appeal” process where supposedly they’ll have an actual person look at
the post instead of a bot that scans for any form of skin (seriously, I’m not
the only one who’s had things flagged because they have flesh tones in them).
But it’s still a stupid, crappy process that flags way more than it should.
People can’t post sfw selfies without them getting flagged, and I feel like all
these so called appeals take away time that should be maintaining their stupid
crappy website.
Also, good news.
The porn bots are all still there. As are the white supremacists. Wouldn’t want
to ban those assholes or anything.
There goes all the girls in bikinis as well. No more beach or pool shots. No more boxers - they show skin. I guess that wipes out someone taking off a shirt in a soccer match as well.
ReplyDeleteDid you appeal?
ReplyDeleteI recently closed my tumblr. Not because of these new rules, but because it was just a waste of my time and I wanted to narrow down my social media to ones that I can grow a lot easier than tumblr.
ReplyDeleteCrazy! What a waste of everyone's time.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it got flagged for child porn?
ReplyDeleteInsane!
ReplyDeleteFacebook supposedly has the same 'appeal' of bone headed decisions, but I've flagged stuff more than a month ago that still hasn't been looked at, and the same applies to their most recent suspension of me. Meanwhile the white supremacists get to run amok.
Porn bots? There's robot porn now?
ReplyDeleteWhat will they think of next?
I didn't even know robots were a big enough audience to warrant it yet.
We live in crazy times. Book burning up next?
ReplyDeleteI've heard of this happening. Not really on tumbler at all but people who are keep having stupid things happen to their posts.
