I feel the same way. We used to have a small farmer's store right around the corner from us and they grew their strawberries and other produce in the fields surrounding the building. Best strawberries in town. Sadly, they closed.
If those were raspberries, the person wouldn't be able to turn away for a second.
Heh, heh, heh! That was similar to when I was growing up and my father asked me to pick the sweet peas in his little garden and strip them out of their pods. Do you know how good fresh raw sweet peas are? He eventually decided he needed to do it himself if any of them were going to make it into the house.

ReplyDeleteThe only problem with strawberries is you have to clip their tops off before gorging.
The stands went up here at the usual time. I think. I'm not a fan, so I didn't really notice...
