When "The Sorrows of Young Werther" came out it triggered a wave of suicides among young people. There are similar examples in music as well. Kids and young adults are especially susceptible, and parents can't always control their children. Still, I wouldn't go do far as to ban books, we should be happy young people read at all. If they have a problem with foul language and violence, they should start with television and video games, not books.Draganahttp://www.mystictreehouse.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1281469968333860626.post-60092412911212598152011-08-03T20:01:52.642-04:002011-08-03T20:01:52.642-04:00Yes, of course, because parents can't be trust...Yes, of course, because parents can't be trusted to look out for their own children, someone else must do it for them.

Censorship bad. I've always thought it ridiculous to suggest that a book (or a movie or a piece of music) could "make" a kid behave in a certain way.Crystalhttp://littlebundleofcontradictions.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1281469968333860626.post-74248006512007312712011-08-02T20:10:25.198-04:002011-08-02T20:10:25.198-04:00Lenore, who writes the Free Range Kids blog, says ...Lenore, who writes the Free Range Kids blog, says something along the lines that if someone is claiming to act "for the children" then you should run.Suhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11862479925124552922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1281469968333860626.post-91466239151092637142011-08-02T18:58:05.969-04:002011-08-02T18:58:05.969-04:00Oh yeah... you heard my rant on this...Oh yeah... you heard my rant on this...Jolene Perryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14809468564016928636noreply@blogger.com
